FAQ

What is Saxony Viewer?

Saxony Viewer is a better and more collaborative way to share design proofs, track comments, and receive approvals quickly and efficiently.

How does the process work?

It's so easy and intuitive. Let's say you are hired to create a logo for a client, and you also want another designer on your team to share feedback. Here are the steps you would follow.

  1. Prepare and upload your artwork for Round 1 using our upload tool
  2. Receive comments and feedback on Round 1 through the system from client and team member
  3. Close Round 1 and repeat above steps for Round 2, 3 and so on until Client signs off on approval through the system
  4. Move on to the next project!

Can I accept large files from clients?

Yes, you will have free access to the Saxony Files system for file sharing, as well as free storage space with every plan for Saxony Viewer.

Who will see the projects and files that I post?

Only those who have valid Saxony Viewer accounts and who you have granted access.

Can I upload and provide final artwork to my Client through the system?

You can provide final artwork, even multiple files, for a secure and private Client download. You can even track the number of times the client has downloaded the files.

What will I see when my client sends me a review?

With every proof that you post, the client will have the option to give it a Thumbs Up ("I Like It"), or a Thumbs Down ("I don't like it"), as well as add comments and give final approval. As the designer, you may add comments as well in response, or as an explanation of the design. All of these comments will be tracked, and you will receive notifications when feedback is shared and ready for attention.

Can I use this system for website design reviews?

Yes - each proof that you post can also contain a web link.

How many proofs can I have per project?

Unlimited! We want you to have happy clients. While other systems charge you depending on the number of proofs you use, we'd rather you be able to finish a project without worrying about the number of proofs you've used, or pay for more proof privileges.

How many rounds can I have per project?

Again - unlimited! The trial version, is fully functional except there is a limit to the number of rounds.

What happens when a project is closed?

It's taken offline to make room for new projects. But it will remain in your account in case you need to access it. You'll be able to re-open a closed project on a limited basis if needed.

Does Saxony Viewer work on Mac as well as PC?

Absolutely. Everything is browser-based so there are no downloads or compatibility issues. The client side is a Flash interface, which is the most universal media player on the net (99% of computers have Flash Player installed).
